What the service does
Face-framing or accent highlights concentrate brightness at the front hairline to lift and define the face. At our salon this typically uses about nine strategically placed foils around the face for subtle brightening or a more noticeable accent color. The goal is targeted contrast rather than full-head lightening, so placement and foil count are the main drivers of the finished look.
Results depend on your starting hair color, the contrast you choose, and your hair's thickness and length. Because the work is selective, it can create a natural-looking glow or a bolder statement without the time or cost of all-over highlights. Expect a tailored result driven by placement decisions rather than a uniform color change.
Timing and pricing details
The salon lists the standard duration as 120 MINUTES, but actual appointments commonly take between 1 to 2 hours or more depending on hair thickness, length, and complexity of the requested look. That window includes consultation, precise placement of about nine foils, and time to assess whether a toner will be needed to refine the shade.
Pricing starts at $178 and a $50 booking deposit is required; the deposit is deducted from your final total at the end of service. If your style requires more than 10 foils there is an additional $4 charge per extra foil, and if a toner is required that service will incur an extra charge.
Choosing placement and color
A key decision is how much contrast you want between the highlight and your base color. Subtle face-framing focuses on lift and softening, while statement front pieces use higher contrast or brighter tones. Your stylist will place the roughly nine foils to flatter your haircut, hairline and face shape; adding more foils increases brightness and cost per the extra-foil policy.
Local factors such as the humid subtropical climate in the Marietta area can influence daily styling and how often you touch up brightness or tone. Hair that is thicker or longer usually takes longer to process and may need different placement to achieve balanced framing, so plan for possible variability in time and price.
